The People Who Hold Others Up Need Holding Up Too

Charities, not-for-profits and community services work close to hardship every day. The workplace edition measures what that costs your staff, and the Life edition gives the people you support a wellbeing profile of their own.

Why it fits

Small Teams, Heavy Work, Honest Answers

Community organisations often run in small teams, where a careless report identifies someone. Every cohort figure is suppressed below a minimum number of responses, so people can answer honestly. The psychosocial hazards module asks frontline staff and the people leading them different questions, and Moral Injury picks up the distress of not being able to give people the help they need.

Reported through Australian WHS, ISO 45003, CSA Z1003 and the US Surgeon General framework.

Organisations that have run the evaluation (sometimes called a staff wellbeing survey) include World Vision, Homelessness NSW, Youth For Christ, Phoenix House, Shine for Kids, Communities at Work, Cornerstone Counseling Foundation and Weldon Children’s Services.

What it measures

The Sections Community Services Use Most

Psychosocial Hazards

Frontline staff and team leaders answer different hazard sets, reported through four standards.

Moral Injury

The weight of seeing need you cannot meet, measured in its own section with its own dashboard.

Economic Security

Financial pressure outside work follows people into it. This shows how much of it your people carry.

Culture of Care

Whether staff feel looked after by an organisation built to look after others.

Beyond your staff

A Profile for the People You Support

The Life edition asks about wellbeing without assuming a workplace, and it is used by coaches, therapists and community programs. Each person keeps their results in a vault that belongs to them. More on the Life edition.

Questions

Questions People Ask

Can volunteers take part?

Yes. Anyone you invite can take the evaluation, and results can be cut by the groups your contract sets up, such as staff, volunteers or program.

We are a small organisation. Is it still anonymous?

Cohort figures are suppressed below a minimum number of responses. That floor is what makes it safe to run in a small team.

Does this cover our psychosocial hazard duty?

It gives you the identify, assess, control and review record the model WHS Regulations describe, reported by team and by leader. Meeting the duty still depends on the controls you put in place, and the platform records those decisions against the report.

Can we track change after a program or a restructure?

Yes. Run it again and compare the two periods. Trends Foundry also lets you mark significant events, such as a restructure or a leadership change, and read results either side of them.
